About Me

Hey there! I’m Melissa, a Web Developer with 4 years of experience in web development. I transitioned from Social Media Marketing to web dev and honed my skills at Juno College, specializing in WordPress with WPBakery and Elementor.

At Publicis Groupe Canada, I created HTML5 banner ads, collaborating with creative and QA teams using Jira. My skills in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, GSAP, Photoshop, and Illustrator helped me excel in developing cross-browser and cross-device compatible banners.

In a brief stint at Moving2Canada, I worked on enhancing website functionality and transitioning from WP Bakery to Gutenberg Block Editor.

I’m passionate about blending creativity with web development to elevate online presence. Let’s create something extraordinary together!

What I do

Display Ads

I specialize in creating animated banners using the GreenSock Animation Library, GSAP. These banners are carefully crafted by slicing the banner imagery directly from Photoshop, aligning with the client’s provided storyboards. To achieve more complex animations, I also harness the power of SVGs and leverage plugins like MorphSVG. This approach ensures that the animations not only capture the viewer’s attention but also upholds the overall brand voice.

Freelance Web Development

Strategically designing, developing and maintaining WordPress websites tailored to meet client specifications while utilizing advanced skills in WPBakery and Elementor page builders. Here is one of my most recent client sites:

Northlea United Church

Created an accessible WordPress website using Elementor, drawing inspiration from a preferred existing theme chosen by the client. Each page is tailored to seamlessly integrate their unique content, effectively revitalizing their brand and enhancing its resonance with their congregation.
